Compotech Solution Warranty Information

Compotech Solution warrants to the original purchaser that its composite decking and cladding products will be free from material manufacturing defects and will not rot, splinter, split, suffer structural damage due to fungal decay or termite attack, under normal residential or commercial use and proper installation in accordance with Compotech Solution’s guidelines.

Subject to the terms and conditions below, all residential decking and cladding products are covered by a 25-year warranty, while commercial applications are supported by a 10-year warranty, effective from the date of original purchase.

This limited warranty applies to the following products:

What’s Covered

Under proper use and conditions, Compotech Solution products are warranted against:

• Structural damage from rot, decay, termites, or fungal degradation
• Excessive warping, cracking, or splintering
• Manufacturing defects that affect performance or safety
• Delamination or significant colour fading (for capped products only)

What’s Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from:

1. Improper installation not in accordance with Compotech Installation Guidelines
2. Use contrary to applicable local building codes or regulations
3. Movement or collapse of the ground or supporting structure
4. Natural disasters or Acts of God (e.g. floods, storms, earthquakes, etc.)
5. Contact with direct heat sources or open flames
6. Application of paints, stains, sealants, or chemical cleaners
7. Mishandling, storage issues, physical abuse or neglect
8. Impacts from heavy or sharp objects
9. Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches or scuffs
10. Changes in colour, grain, or texture over time (especially for uncapped boards)
11. Products not supplied by Compotech Solution
12. Modifications or fabrications such as cutting into decorative furniture or other non-standard installations

Warranty Claim Procedure

To make a warranty claim, you must notify Compotech Solution within 30 days of discovering any defect. The following documentation must be provided:

• Proof of original purchase, including invoice and purchase date
• Description of the defect and location of installation
• Clear photographs or videos of the defect
• Evidence that installation followed Compotech guidelines

Compotech Solution reserves the right to inspect the site and assess the validity of the claim. If the product is deemed defective under this warranty, Compotech may, at its discretion:

• Provide replacement materials for the affected product, or
• Refund the original purchase price (excluding labour, freight, and incidental costs)

Who Is Covered

This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser of the product and applies only to products installed in Australia. It is non-transferable unless approved in writing by Compotech Solution.

Care and Maintenance

To maintain your warranty coverage, Compotech decking and cladding must be:

• Stored flat and in a shaded, dry area before installation
• Installed according to the official Installation Guide
• Cleaned regularly with mild soap and water (avoid bleach, acids, or petroleum-based cleaners)
• Protected from sharp tools or heavy equipment during surrounding construction works
